The Phoenix Girls Chorus is scheduling auditions NOW for the 2011 - 2012 Season beginning July 2011, Positions are available for girls in grades 2-11

To Audition:

Formal training not necessary for younger singers
Prepare one song (folk, classical, Broadway, Americana, patriotic - not pop, rock or western) For girls 7-11 years, the song can be as simple as "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" without needing sheet music or a back up CD.
Bring the sheet music for your song or a back-up CD w/ no vocals, if singing something other than "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star".

Bring $10 audition fee at time of appointment
and singers are encouraged to dress nicely.

Girls ages 7 (2nd grade) to 17 are eligible to audition. Upon acceptance, they will be placed in the appropriate choir level.
The Phoenix Girls Chorus is a non-profit, tuition-based choir, working towards the advancement of girls and arts in our community.

The Five Choir Levels are:
Treble Choir: Beginning Entry Level (2nd-4th Grade, 7-9 years)
Concert Choir Intermediate 1 Level (3rd-6th Grade, 8 -12 years)
Southwest Singers: Intermediate II Level (5th-8th Grade, 10-14 years)
Tour Choir Performance Level (6th-12th Grade, 11-18 years)
Cantabile Advanced Performance Level (9th-12th Grade, 14-18 years)
